Andre leads GridSquare Legal, P.C., a firm built to guide entrepreneurs, investors, and mission-driven businesses through complex legal terrain. His work is driven by a simple goal: to ensure that entrepreneurs like his parents can one day say to their own loved ones, “Well done,” and enjoy the fruits of their hard labor.
He sees every client through the lens of his parents, who worked, struggled, and succeeded with little guidance. Today, he serves clients who are building something real: families, companies, communities. He ensures they don’t walk blind through legal fog. He does so with the heart of a navigator, the mind of a strategist, and the commitment of a trusted advisor prepared to help you Know the Terrain and succeed in your mission.
In June 2002, Andre graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego and returned to his family’s newly purchased home, their first in the U.S. It had been purchased while he was away in boot camp, one of the last responsibilities his father was determined to see through as he neared the end of his life. Though frail and unable to speak much by then, his father had made sure his family would have a lasting home. He had also arranged for a car and a study desk. They were not luxuries. Rather, they were tools to equip his son for a future he knew he would not be part of. It was his final act of fatherhood: setting his son up to succeed.
The day he returned from boot camp to his new home, Andre found his father lying in the backyard grass, quiet and thin, absorbing what sunlight his body could still translate into strength. Cancer had weakened him, but not his pride or sense of duty. Slowly, with effort but without hesitation, his father rose. An immigrant businessman from Korea who had survived the LA riots and built a life for his family, he walked toward his son, extended a hand, locked eyes, and without words, said: “Well done.”
Andre’s legal training has since followed a path of deliberate apprenticeship. As a Marine Corps judge advocate, he learned to advise commanders and earn trust through preparation and execution. He later apprenticed under attorneys in government and private practice, serving with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, as well as in transactional and litigation roles across multiple agencies and firms where he advised leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, startups, and small businesses. He brings that same sense of duty to every client engagement.

A former IRS Office of Chief Counsel attorney and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran with over 20 years in enlisted and officer ranks, Andre brings disciplined preparation, sharpened instincts, and real-world experience. He has advised founders in industries from hospitality and retail to AI, fintech, and emerging technology.
